As you would’ve seen from our previous blog post, ‘The Curve Ball’ things tend to change in a hurry at my place – not to say that that is a bad thing, it’s just a change.
So, finding out that I was to become a father within the next year was both a daunting thing but also exciting. I had just finished a World Series campaign the year before and was starting to look towards 2017 and the World Series in Whitehorse. This of course is where I wanted to be after our 4th place finish in Saskatoon.
Finding out that my beautiful wife & I were expecting was great, then I found out the expected date of June 2017. That was going to be right in the middle of what would be a lead up tour for the 2017 World Championship to the great little town of Milverton, Ontario, Canada. If you’ve never been there’s not much there but the people of the town are some of the greatest people I’ve ever met.

I made a choice and called the Aussie Steelers (Australian Men’s Softball Team) Head Coach to let him know that I would have to pull out of contention for the team due to my little ones being on the way. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but it had to be done.
But, I still love the game and want to give back to the sport that has given me so much.
Fast forward to the present day and here we are launching ‘The Virtual Softball Coach’ to help people become better ball players/coaches/people. I’m very excited about what lies ahead, it’s going to be both challenging and rewarding. We are here to help you in many different ways:
- Batting Technique
- Pitching
- Fielding
- Mental aspect – getting the extra edge!
- Training programs
So please feel free to contact us and we’ll work out the best way for you to become the player/coach/person you want to be.
